Centene is seeking a data security professional to operate, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise security technologies. You will resolve technical issues, implement new capabilities, and drive improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field with 2–4 years of related experience and familiarity with major security frameworks.

Job description

Position Purpose: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise data security technologies that protect and govern sensitive data. This role independently resolves technical issues, implements new capabilities, and drives operational improvements that strengthen the organization's data security posture.

Key Details: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J -1, OPT, or CPT.

Administer advanced functions in all Data Security systems.

Possess independent troubleshooting abilities for Data Security systems.

Perform System Upgrades adhering to Change Management procedures.

Advanced understanding of systems and networking concepts.

Ability to learn and document new systems and tools, implement new functionality and make operational improvements.

Understand basic knowledge around common Security Control Frameworks (CIS CSC, NIST CSF, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001).

Performs other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 2 – 4 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge around common Security Control Frameworks (CIS CSC, NIST CSF, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001).

Advanced understanding of data security systems and networking concepts.

Understanding of data patterns for healthcare.

Understanding of data patterns for a large corporation.

Basic understanding of cloud application design.

Basic understanding of AI.

Soft Skills:

Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty.

Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Intermediate - Ability to work independently.

License/Certification:

CompTIA Security + preferred.

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred.

Proofpoint Protection Server Administration preferred.

Pay Range: $30.58 - $55.09 per hour
