Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Data Security Engineer to architect and deploy enterprise data security solutions for DoD, IC, and civilian federal clients. You will design architectures, implement DLP controls, and collaborate with agency personnel and delivery teams to enforce Zero Trust principles across hybrid clouds.

The role requires experience with DLP technologies, security policy tuning, and strong documentation skills, with a Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, operating systems, identity, cloud, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Ability to evaluate, learn, and implement new security technologies and capabilities.

Data Security Engineer

The Opportunity:

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise data security solutions
• Experience implementing and administering Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies such as Forcepoint, Trellix, Symantec, or Microsoft Purview
• Experience tuning and troubleshooting data protection policies and controls
• Experience integrating security solutions within complex enterprise environments
• Experience documenting and diagramming technical architectures
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and developing scalable engineering solutions
• Knowledge of engineering across cybersecurity, networking, operating systems, identity, cloud, and enterprise infrastructure
• Ability to evaluate, learn, and implement new security technologies and capabilities
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions such as Varonis, BigID, or similar technologies
• Experience working in federal, DoD, or IC agency environments
• Experience managing and maintaining containerization technologies such as Kubernetes
• Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, directives, frameworks, and risk management processes
• Knowledge of Trusted Data Format (TDF) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
• Knowledge of Virtru Data Security Platform (DSP) and Keycloak
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
