Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to support a long-term mission-focused big data and predictive analytics program. The role involves delivering advanced data science capabilities to advance national security objectives, analyzing results, disseminating findings, and contributing to actionable intelligence insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative intelligence analysis; 2+ years if Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience deploying data science applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
• Experience with information retrieval and search technologies such as Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch and Kibana) and/or SQL.
• Familiarity with Git and cooperative software development practices.
• Experience working with hybrid teams to conduct research and build analytical platforms.
• Demonstrated active learning and creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize a Search and Discovery platform.
• Conduct research tasks to index and organize data for discovery.
• Support multiple projects, communicating findings to non-technical audiences.
• Identify novel data sources to improve predictive algorithms and user adoption.
• Collaborate with hybrid teams to deploy complex algorithms and analytical platforms.
• Engage in co-development and cooperative research to leverage team products.
