Job description

cFocus Software seeks a Data Scientist, Senior to join our program supporting the US Navy. This position is remote. This position requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or a degree in a Mathematics or Engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience of multiple levels of the data science process (collection, cleaning, extraction, transformation, loading, analysis / inference / prediction) in a technology-based environment (e.g. software, computer science, cloud) with specific experience in end-to-end with data to include querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization.
• Experience with designing and implementing complex algorithms to create models with production data.
• Recent experience with building and evaluating machine-learning models.
• Proficiency and experience with scripting in languages such as Python to develop data models in a production software environment.
• Experience versioning software with Atlassian Bitbucket or similar Git based repository.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira or similar issue and project tracking software.
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management software
• Active DoD IAT II certification

Duties:

• Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
• May create dynamic data reports
