Job summary

Peraton seeks a Data Scientist to join USCYBERCOM J2 at Fort Meade, MD, building AI tools, ML systems, and predictive analytics turning raw data into decision-ready intelligence.

You will engineer scalable analysis pipelines, implement ML models, and deliver data visualizations to support analytic decisions for national security missions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BS or 6 years with AS/AA or 3 years with PhD is required for the role.
• Working knowledge of data science methodologies, ML, and IC/DoD classification guidelines.
• Ability to produce concise analytic reports and data products.
• Proficiency in data science languages: R and Python
• Experience with data visualization tools: Power BI and Tableau
• Strong analytical and communication skills for non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory and predictive analyses in support of USCYBERCOM J2.
• Develop graphical, written, visual, and verbal narratives to inform analytic decisions.
• Retrieve and analyze information from diverse sources to deepen data understanding.
• Build AI tools and ML-based systems like recommendation engines and lead scoring.
• Develop and update Power BI and Tableau data visualizations.
• Merge disparate data sources using R, Python, or SQL.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Collection Managers to identify tool needs.
• Author and maintain operating instructions for programs and initiatives.

Preferred:

What You'll Do

• Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis in support of USCYBERCOM J2 intelligence operations
• Use scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products that enable more informed analytic decisions
• Proactively retrieve and analyze information from diverse sources to deepen understanding of complex data sets
• Build AI tools that automate intelligence processes and developML-based systemssuch as recommendation engines and automated lead scoring systems
• Perform statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and build high-quality prediction systems
• Develop and update data visualizations usingPower BIandTableau
• Manage and merge disparate data sources usingR, Python, orSQL
• Apply expertise in large dataMulti-INT analytics, machine learning, and automated predictive analytics
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Collection Managers to identify tool development needs and prioritize capability gaps
• Author and maintain Operating Instructions (OI) for Command-wide programs and initiatives
