7Learnings is seeking an autonomous Data Scientist based in Mexico to own predictive decision-making for US operations. You will translate retail challenges into scalable software, optimize ML models, and ensure engineering-resilient delivery while maintaining low technical debt.

You will work remote from Mexico with US time zones, collaborating closely with the global engineering team in Berlin and US clients. English proficiency required; experience with ML, GCP, SQL, and Git is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning and data science.
• Experience with Git, TensorFlow, GCP, SQL or BigQuery.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on e-commerce/retail.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• English: professional working proficiency; located in Mexico with US time-zone alignment.

About the roleWe are looking for an autonomous Data Scientist based in Mexico to own the intersection of sophisticated predictive decision-making and world-class engineering for our North American operations. In this role, you won't just run standard scripts; you will be the custodian of our product's localized evolution, ensuring our AI-driven decision engines are mathematically sound, highly optimized, and engineering-resilient. You will be working remotely from Mexico, supporting our growing team and clients across the US. Working closely with our core engineering team in Berlin, you will translate complex, real-world retail challenges into scalable, high-performance software solutions directly impacting our US clients on the ground. As our dedicated data science resource for the US region, you are the engine of 7Learnings’ regional presence. Our product relies on the perfect harmony between complex algorithms and stable software; you will be responsible for ensuring that our technical execution remains flawless, technical debt remains low, and model accuracy remains exceptionally high.

Your mission- Leverage analytical skills to support retail optimization projects across the US market.

Your profile- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.

• A results-oriented, pragmatic mindset.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning and data science.
• Prior experience with Git, TensorFlow, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, or BigQuery.
• Strong project management skills, with prior experience or a strong interest in e-commerce and the retail industry.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a proven track record of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• English: Native speaker or professional working proficiency (C1-C2 level).
• You are located in Mexico (working aligned with US time zones).
