Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required or strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on data science experience delivering complex projects.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark with production-quality code and tests.
• Experience with Databricks workflows, Delta Lake, and job orchestration.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS or GCP) and strong ML fundamentals.
• Familiarity with DataOps and MLOps practices and reproducible pipelines.
• Strong communication, mentoring ability, and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of significant data science projects from scoping to deployment.
• Make independently reasoned decisions on methodology, models, and evaluation; document decisions clearly.
• Lead solution design, break down work into user stories with acceptance criteria, and follow DataOps/MLOps best practices.
• Build production-quality Python and PySpark code on Databricks; implement ML/AI workflows like entity resolution and semantic matching.
• Develop reusable tools, libraries, and documentation; conduct code reviews to raise standards.
• Mentor junior data scientists and lead internal ML talks or workshops.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to translate requirements into technical specs; partner with data engineering on scalable pipelines.
