Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Scientist for Prime Video to design experiments, evaluate AI systems, and translate results into actionable business insights. Youll work near science to probe model behavior, stress-test results, and build statistical models where helpful.

Required expertise includes Master’s or higher in a quantitative field, 2+ years in data science, and experience with SQL, Python, and ML. Strong communication is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, data science, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 2+ years of SQL, Python, or R/SAS/ Matlab experience.
• 2+ years of ML, statistical modeling, data mining, and analytics experience.
• 1+ years of working with or evaluating AI systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze randomized experiments that validate and calibrate our models and measure the impact of content and product changes.
• Build evaluations and benchmarks for the AI systems the team develops and define what 'good' looks like for them.
• Run deep-dive analyses on model outputs, experiment results, and customer behavior to surface the story behind the numbers and catch issues before they reach stakeholders.
• Apply statistical modeling, causal inference, and data analysis to answer business questions and inform major investment decisions.
• Communicate findings to business, finance, engineering, and science stakeholders through clear written analyses and business-facing documents.
