Job summary

GSA OIG seeks a Data Scientist for the Cyber and Data Analytics team in Investigations. The role involves applying data mining, predictive analytics, and link analysis to support investigations and identify fraud, waste, and mismanagement.

You will develop data-driven models and visualizations to provide actionable insights for decision-makers. The position requires expertise in data science methodologies, programming in R/Python, and experience with BI tools like Power BI, with the GS-13 level

Qualifications

Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or related field.
Combination of education and experience acceptable if major coursework is shown.
Transcript or certificates may be required to verify qualifications.

Responsibilities

Provide expert design and development of data models and analyses.
Develop new data analytics concepts to advance knowledge within the OIG.
Collect and analyze structured and unstructured data; produce ready-to-use datasets.
Perform data analyses using statistics, spatial statistics, optimization, and modeling.
Translate requirements into data models; create analyses and visualizations to inform decisions.
Design and deploy data-driven models using mining, analytics, and BI tools.
