Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Mid-level Data Scientist to support a government client on-site in Chantilly, VA. You will review and improve analytics capabilities, validate models, and work with government personnel and engineers to modernize data-driven intelligence solutions.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a strong background in Python or R, and substantial data science experience in a classified setting. The position is onsite in a demanding national security environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 6+ years of data science or analytics experience.
• Experience evaluating, validating, or improving statistical models or ML algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python or R with relevant libraries and frameworks.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and improve statistical models, ML algorithms, and analytic workflows for mission needs.
• Evaluate performance, accuracy, and scalability against requirements and objectives.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement.
• Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations for government stakeholders.
• Ensure security, governance, and classified environment compliance.
