Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to support mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from our Fairfax, VA location. You will analyze large datasets, build dashboards with Power BI, and automate processes using Python, R, and SQL, while communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required active TS/SCI clearance and a Bachelor's degree, with 3+ years in data analytics or data engineering.

## Data Scientist - National SecurityApply: US - VA, Fairfax: Full time: Posted Today: 44827**Job Family:**Data Science Consulting**Travel Required:**Up to 10%**Clearance Required:**Active Top Secret (TS)**What You Will Do:**Our consultants on the AI and Data Defense and Security team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics. This individual will support mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). They will support all phases of analytic development, from the strategic assessment and identification of opportunities to incorporate advanced analysis and automation, through requirements gathering, data collection, performing analyses to delivery actionable intelligence and support law enforcement efforts. This role requires hands on technical expertise and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assess and recommend opportunities to incorporate advanced analysis and automation into current operations* Collecting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets using tools such as Python, R, and SQL* Design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using Power BI* Identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies to support investigative efforts and operational decision-making* Analyzing existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and optimization* Summarizing and presenting results and recommendations through written reports and briefings* Balance competing priorities including to supporting quick turn and ad hoc requests **What You Will Need:*** An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED \"TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)\" Federal or DoD security clearance.
