Job summary

TikTok in Seattle is seeking a Data Scientist (Multiple Positions) to analyze e-commerce US logistics data, apply quantitative analysis, and deliver actionable insights to improve operations.

You will work with large data sets, build and validate models in Python/R, create compelling visualizations in Excel/Tableau, and present findings to senior leadership while mentoring junior data scientists.

Qualifications

We are looking for talents to join us on this exciting journey!ResponsibilitiesResponsible for data analysis of TikTok e-commerce’s US logistics operations.Apply quantitative analysis to understand data, provide actionable insights, and measure the data through experimentation and causal inference.Provide ongoing reports to maintain and improve operation of performance index, and to assist senior management to monitor operation performance.Visualize and synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to consume storylines for the team to provide indicated actions for executive audiences.Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems by applying advanced analytical methods as needed.Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for products and to improve roll-out product features.Interact cross-functionally, making business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.Mentor junior and intern Data Scientists.

Qualifications

QualificationsMust have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Database Technologies, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Database Technologies, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:Mining, preparing, cleansing, and analyzing structured data using SQL, Python, and R for metrics creation, root cause analysis, and model preprocessing;Developing graphical and visual representations of data using Excel or Tableau;Implementing data warehouse and ETL processes using Hive, Spark, Hadoop, or SQL Server;Building, tuning, and validating statistical models for regression and classification problems in Python or R; andDesigning and modeling data warehouse to support data analytics, reporting, and data applications.Travel Requirement: Domestic travel required up to 10%.Employer: TT Commerce & Global Services LLCType: Full time, 40 hours/weekLocation: Bellevue, WA​Salary Range: $129960 - $250000 per year

Job Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129960 - $250000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
