Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist in the Data Science Consulting family to support government clients in Cumberland County, Mechanicsburg. The role involves data preparation, exploratory analysis, model development, and building dashboards to communicate insights.

Travel is up to 10% and an active SECRET clearance is required. The candidate will collaborate with project teams to address operational questions, document methodologies, and help advance predictive analytics and forecasting

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance (Federal or DoD) required.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, or applied statistics.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field preferred.

What You Will Do:

The Data Scientist will:

• Perform data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and exploratory analysis.
• Support development of machine learning models and analytical workflows.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings.
• Assist with testing, validation, and performance monitoring of analytical models.
• Support development of predictive analytics and forecasting solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams to answer operational and business questions through data analysis.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and analytical outputs.

What You Will Need:

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
• Bachelor's degree THREE (3) or more years of experience in data science, data analytics, or applied statistics.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Experience with Databricks or Palantir Foundry.
• Experience developing ETL processes or automation solutions.
• Knowledge of logistics, maintenance, readiness, or supply chain operations.
• Experience supporting government clients.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Understanding of machine learning and statistical methodologies.
• Ability to work in Agile project environments.
• Experience using Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
