Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data scientist to translate complex data into actionable insights that inform product strategy and execution. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and designers to build scalable data workflows and rigorous analytics frameworks.

The role emphasizes applying ML and advanced statistics to optimize product adoption, with a strong focus on data quality, methodological integrity, and impact across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field or related experience.
• 3+ years in quantitative analysis and data science; or Master’s +2 years; or PhD.
• 3+ years using SQL or similar big data querying languages.
• 3+ years programming in Python or R.
• 3+ years applying inferential, causal, A/B testing, or statistical modeling techniques.
• Advanced degree in applied math, statistics, econ, or related field.
• Experience in a product-focused role at social media/online advertising/digital media/mobile tech.
• Experience using ML and statistical analysis for data-driven product solutions.

• Utilize AI tools and high-velocity analytical workflows to develop scalable data solutions, generate actionable insights, and accelerate decision-making while maintaining rigorous standards for accuracy, methodological integrity, data quality, and operational excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent years of practical work experience
• 3+ years of post-Bachelor’s experience in quantitative analysis and data science; or a Master’s degree in a technical field + 2+ years of post-graduate professional experience in quantitative analysis and data science; or a Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
• 3+ years of Experience using SQL or similar big data querying languages
• 3+ years of Experience with programming language, such as Python or R
• 3+ years of experience with applied statistical techniques, such as inferential methods, causal methods, A/B testing, or statistical modeling techniques
• Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field
• Experience in a product-focused role at a social media, online advertising, digital media and/or mobile technology company
• Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis for building data-driven product solutions or performing methodological research.
