Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or CS with 4 years of data analytics experience and 2 years programming experience in R, Python, SAS or MATLAB.
• Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of analytics experience and 1 year of programming experience.
• Alternative: 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree plus 2 years programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce data visualizations and insight into dataset structure.
• Collaborate with SMEs to extract information from diverse data formats (SQL, metadata, logs).
• Translate SME input into feature vectors for analytics development and testing.
• Convert qualitative analysis goals into quantitative models in software prototypes.
• Develop statistical, ML, and heuristic techniques for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Design statistical tests to support data-driven recommendations.

Overview: We’re seeking a Data Scientist who turns complex data into clear, actionable insight. In this role, you will design and prototype machine learning, statistical, graph-based, and data-mining algorithms to analyze diverse datasets. You’ll compare candidate models with rigorous performance metrics, build experiments or synthetic datasets when real data is limited, and translate findings into concise reports and visualizations for customers. Working closely with subject matter experts, you’ll convert manual analyses into automated analytics and implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks so insights flow directly into analyst workflows. Security Clearance Requirements:

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required Education & Years of Experience:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, and engineering or computer science) from an accredited college or university, and four (4) years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics and two (2) year of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
  • A Master's degree in relevant discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of relevant experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, and one (1) year of relevant experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a total of eight (8) years of relevant experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, and two (2) years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
