Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking Data Science Interns to join their team. You will learn ETL, data cleansing, and analysis across diverse data sources, with exposure to machine learning outcomes and marketing-optimization studies. You’ll produce reports, forecast marketing activities, and collaborate with mentors in a fast-paced tech environment.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are temporary and may lead to full-time opportunities after graduation, depending on business needs and timing.

Qualifications

• STEM majors preferred, with preference to Math, Stat, Computer Science, and Engineering majors.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and use findings to inform decision-making.
• Python, PySpark, SQL or other coding and visualization skills are highly preferred.
• Hadoop and cloud computing.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet project timelines through good time management and work prioritization.
• Oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
• A positive attitude, determination, and humility.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to extract, transform, and load (ETL) the data for analysis.
• Learn how to perform data cleansing and exploratory data analysis.
• Learn how to work with different data sources to be able to produce the requested analysis.
• Learn how to analyze machine learning results.
• Learn how to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using optimized contact strategies for marketing activities.
• Produce reports summarizing your findings.
• Able to forecast marketing activities.

Hourly base pay rate is $24.23 - $36.35/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
