Job summary

ARDIAN US LLC is seeking an intern data scientist to join their data science team in New York. This role entails working on various data projects associated with Ardian's portfolio assets, ranging from renewable energy to healthcare. Interns will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned data scientists.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in data science or related fields, possess strong Python skills, and have experience in data science. Fluency in English is essential. Meals will be provided in the office from Monday to Thursday.

• 3rd-year student (end-of-studies internship) or 2nd-year student (2nd gap year internship).
• Prior experience in data science required.
• Fluent English essential.

Overview

Integrated within the data science team, the intern data scientist will work on data projects directly related to Ardian's portfolio assets (e.g. industrial companies in various sectors such as renewable energy, transportation, retail, healthcare, etc.) as well as more transverse projects within the company (such as generative AI, etc.). This position requires a certain degree of autonomy, always accompanied by regular supervision from other data scientists and team managers. It also offers direct exposure to the management of the concerned companies, as well as current issues of decarbonization and sustainable development. Depending on the workload and the intern's interests, they may also work on topics related to the fund's more general investment and asset management activities.

Profile

• 3rd-year student (end-of-studies internship) or 2nd-year student (2nd gap year internship) of engineering or business school, currently pursuing a degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field
• Prior experience in data science required
• Advanced proficiency in Python required
• Fluent English essential
• Good command of Excel and PowerPoint appreciated
