Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking a data science professional to support intelligence and operational decision making by analyzing structured and unstructured data and by building dashboards using Power BI and O365.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to translate needs into technical solutions, present findings to management, and help guide data governance and long‑term development initiatives within CBP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, statistics, CS, data science or related field (baccalaureate level).
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleaning, modeling, ML/AI to support objectives.
• Ability to create dashboards/reports for stakeholders and support data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced data science techniques to process and analyze structured/unstructured data.
• Design, develop, and customize data visualization tools and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and governance.
• Present technical reports and recommendations to management and partner organizations.
