A leading software development platform is seeking a Data Scientist III to enhance forecasting models and provide insights that align with business needs. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data analysis, machine learning principles, and strong programming skills, particularly in Python and SQL. They will work collaboratively with various teams and maintain a focus on leveraging data for operational excellence while working remotely across the United States.

As a Data Scientist III, you will help build industry-leading solutions that empower GitHub’s Enterprise and Developer customers worldwide. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data science and business acumen to address operational and product challenges, with a focus on support forecasting, capacity planning, product adoption, and product health. Drives the development and refinement of predictive models to forecast support ticket volume, workload trends and resource needs. Consider the impact of AI and automation in forecasting models. Aligns staffing and scheduling with demand, balances workloads across teams, and provides actionable insights to the business stakeholders to facilitate the right business decisions.
The base salary range for this job is USD $107,700.00 - USD $285,900.00 /Yr. These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
