Job summary

Socure is seeking a Data Scientist for Workforce Verification on the RiskOS team in San Francisco. You will own the data science lifecycle, from data exploration to model deployment, targeting hiring-funnel fraud patterns.

Work with product and engineering to productionize models and GenAI components, focusing on resume verification, explanations, and risk scoring. Strong Python/SQL and NLP experience are essential, with a bias toward ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on data science, ML, or analytics with fraud/risk experience preferred.
• Experience owning end-to-end analytics projects: framing, wrangling, feature engineering, modeling, deployment support.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency with common libraries.
• Experience with unstructured text analytics and NLP methods.
• Some exposure to GenAI/LLM products and evaluation.
• Ability to work with large, messy data and build reusable abstractions.
• Clear, concise communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data science lifecycle for Workforce Verification use cases in RiskOS.
• Analyze workforce data sources to identify fraud patterns in hiring funnels.
• Design rules and heuristics in RiskOS workflows to detect high-risk events.
• Develop and evaluate ML models for workforce risk and identity assessment.
• Collaborate on GenAI-powered features like Resume Verification Agent and explanations.
• Partner with engineering to productionize models and monitor performance.
• Translate model results into customer-facing narratives about fraud prevention impact.
• Incorporate feedback from customers to improve logic and experiments.
• Document assumptions and decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly.
