Job summary

Amazon Science in Arlington, VA seeks a data scientist to lead end-to-end analytics, from data exploration to model deployment and visualization. You will drive data-driven transformation and partner with MOI teams to improve operations and site reliability.

You will work across cross-functional teams on ambiguous problems at scale. The role emphasizes owning end-to-end lifecycle, leveraging Spark, Airflow, and ML frameworks, and delivering impact across AWS MOI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of SQL, Python, or statistical software experience.
• 3+ years of ML/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of statistics measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, development and evaluation data sets, etc.

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to solve problems using various analytical approaches.
• Develop ML/AI models and partner with software teams to productionalize them.
• Design and implement data pipelines.
• Define and develop advanced metrics and KPIs and monitor their performance.
