Job summary

TD is seeking a Data Scientist II in New York to collect data and apply advanced analytics for actionable insights to guide decision making. You will join the Financial Crime Risk Modeling & Advanced Analytics team, building and monitoring risk models in a production environment.

You will work with cross-functional partners to translate business problems, develop scalable solutions, and communicate insights clearly to leadership while supporting enterprise risk management.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in modeling, especially in tree-based algorithms and advanced data analytics.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and SQL.
  • AML domain knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience delivering production-grade models in a cloud environment.
  • Experience in neural network architectures and transaction monitoring.
  • Graduate degree candidates with ~1+ years’ experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business problems into viable data science solutions.
  • Collaborate with data and business analysts, software engineers, data engineers, and application developers to develop scalable data science solutions.
  • Visualize insights from data to tell stories for decision-makers at all levels.
