Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC seeks a data scientist to join our hybrid team in the U.S. The role focuses on delivering ML models end-to-end, from problem framing to deployment and monitoring, in collaboration with business leaders.

The ideal candidate will have a quantitative degree and 2+ years of relevant experience with production-level code, data visualization, and ML techniques. Hybrid work is supported across multiple sites in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operational Research or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years data science, engineering, mathematics, or related work experience with Bachelor's or Master’s degree.
• Write model development technical documents.
• Troubleshoot system/data issues hindering analytics.
• Experience using data visualization tools.
• Write production level code that's well-written and explainable.
• SAS, Python, SQL or R programming training or experience.
• Experience applying various ML techniques and understanding key parameters.

Responsibilities

• Produces standard and ad hoc analytic reports.
• Assists with developing, testing, and documenting open-source data analysis and modeling code.
• Performs data analysis tasks, including data transformations, interpreting results, and investigating root causes.
• Supports internal model validation procedures and external validations within Model Risk Management.
• Explore and aggregate data to uncover anomalies affecting model performance.
• End-to-end feature engineering from brainstorm to down-select.
• Write production-level code in a dynamic environment.
• Apply machine learning techniques to business problems to arrive at optimal solutions.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify trends and opportunities.
• Explain and visualize results to non-technical audiences.
