Prima is seeking a Data Scientist to join our AI team focused on bringing ML and GenAI into the heart of our operations, including claims, underwriting, and customer support.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to design AI-driven products that create tangible business value and redefine the future of Prima's ops. Strong quantitative background and Python skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in quantitative fields such as Math, Physics, Data Science, or Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and coding best practices.
• Experience with machine learning and Generative AI (openAI/Gemini APIs, agentic frameworks, …)

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our AI team focused on bringing ML & Generative AI into the heart of our operations (e.g. claims, underwriting, customer support).

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to redefine the core operative processes, leveraging ML & GenAI techniques to enhance not only efficiency but, most importantly, the overall effectiveness and quality of outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to design and deliver AI-driven products that create tangible business value and redefine the future of ops at Prima.

What you’ll do

• Leverage Machine Learning and GenAI to solve complex business problems, making our processes better and faster;
• Analyze and interpret complex data to support decision-making;
• Contribute directly to Prima’s long-term success and financial impact through concrete solutions.

What we’re looking for

• Strong academic background in quantitative fields such as Math, Physics, Data Science, or Engineering;
• All experience levels, including recent graduates with no prior working experience;
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
• Structured problem solving skills and being able to analyze and break down complex problems;
• Curiosity, proactivity, quick learning and an innovative mindset.

Nice-to-Have

• Hands‑on experience with Python and coding best practices;
• Experience with machine learning and Generative AI (openAI/Gemini APIs, agentic frameworks, …)
• Business proficiency in Italian or Spanish, in addition to English.
