Job description

For our Detector group we are looking for a Data Scientist for Detector Calibration.

The Position

The main focus of the position is to:

• maximize the quality of detector data;
• in particular, by optimizing detector configuration with respect to different experimental techniques employed at European XFEL, and enhancing tools to calibrate and characterize them;
• contribute to extending and improving the European XFEL's detector calibration infrastructure;
• actively participate in scientific experiments and user support;
• liase with instrument scientists and other stakeholders inside and outside of European XFEL.
