Job summary

PNC is seeking a Data Scientist for its Enterprise Fraud Organization. Based in an in-office environment, the role focuses on anomaly detection, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen fraud mitigation across multiple locations in the United States.

The ideal candidate will leverage machine learning and statistical techniques to model fraud patterns, run experiments, and present insights to leadership. A Masters degree and 3+ years of experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required.
• 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop anomaly detection metrics and monitoring tools to identify potential fraud.
• Analyze data to detect suspicious activity, identify fraud patterns, and surface emerging trends.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to share insights and improve fraud mitigation processes.
• Perform analyses on large structured and unstructured data to extract actionable business insights.
• Develop ML-based algorithms to predict outcomes and recommend actions to management.
