Job summary

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is seeking a Data Scientist in Washington, DC to design and maintain data pipelines, and turn complex datasets into actionable insights for enforcement and regulatory accounting. The role requires hands-on experience with SQL/T-SQL, Python, and R, plus Databricks or Synapse for data processing.

You will analyze data using Power BI and SQL, present findings to the team and management, and collaborate with colleagues to implement quality control

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL/T-SQL, Python, R, Databricks, or Synapse.
• Analyze data using Power BI, R, Python, and SQL to support enforcement decisions.
• Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Present findings clearly to the team, the Division, or management orally and/or in writing.
