Job summary

Forged Fiber is hiring a Data Scientist to build analytics across the fiber deployment lifecycle. You will partner with Engineering, Construction, Field Ops, Supply Chain, and IT to deliver insights that improve build execution, forecasting, and cost efficiency.

You will develop predictive models, establish KPIs, and create self-service analytics to empower cross-functional teams and leadership with actionable dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles
• Strong experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Looker BI reporting, LLM training, AI/ML experience, Agentic AI development
• Experience building predictive models and translating data into business insights
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Build data strategy and analytics to track fiber build progress and performance
• Develop predictive models for build timelines, resources, and risks
• Identify inefficiencies in construction, permitting, and deployment workflows
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve cycle times and costs
• Develop dashboards and visualizations for leadership and ELT reporting
• Integrate data across construction, supply chain, field operations, and OSS/BSS
