Job summary

KU Medical Center's SOM Department of Biostatistics seeks a Data Scientist - Biostatistics & Data Science to support data management across multi-site studies, EDc access, data dictionaries, CRFs, and BI reporting.

The role involves developing Python and R pipelines, Shiny apps, and collaboration with ISPCTN and DCOC; requires Bachelor's in CS/IT/Stats/Math and 4+ years experience; strong SQL, UNIX, and data standards; comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT/Stats/Math (or related).
• 2+ years in academic or private health-related research environments preferred.
• Experience with relational databases and BI tools.
• Experience with data dictionaries, CRFs, data standards, and training data users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary data management liaison with ISPCTN clinical sites.
• Respond to site inquiries and resolve data-related issues (EDC access, data entry, queries).
• Develop and maintain study-specific data dictionaries and CRFs per protocol requirements.
