Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Data Scientist for the Data Science Artificial Intelligence Department (DSAID) in ISCD, Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves developing ML experiments and deploying ML-powered systems for space and defense customers, with project work in Boulder.

Onsite work is required. BS/MS in CS/Data Science with 0–1 year experience, Python proficiency, and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline, pursuing or conferred within 12-14 months.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• 0-1 year of industry work experience.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with ML/AI, software engineering, and statistics.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Willing to travel occasionally to customer sites.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing ML and data science experiments (NLP, CV, time series, RL).
• Testing, experimentation and deployment of ML-powered systems.
• Evaluating tech and data models for mission-critical apps.
• Collaborating with teams to deliver features and products.
