US Bureau of the Fiscal Service in Washington, DC seeks a Data Scientist to independently develop research studies, analyses, and projects that influence BFS programs and policies across government agencies. The role requires applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to large datasets and communicating findings to executives and cross-agency partners.

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Financial Integrity Products Division. As a Data Scientist, you will independently develop research studies, analysis, and projects that affect the programs and policies of the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) and other government agencies.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
