Job summary

Big Impact Tech (BIT) is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to advance enterprise data and analytics for a federal client. The role focuses on AI/ML development, advanced analytics, and automation, delivering scalable and secure solutions with technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

The candidate will develop predictive and prescriptive models using Python, SQL, and modern AI/ML frameworks, while collaborating with Data Engineers to integrate data pipelines and govern data assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Data Science and AI/ML.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Python-based).
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in analytics and AI/ML solutions
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics
• Use Python, Anaconda, and Jupyter notebooks for modeling and prototyping
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate model switch data pipelines
• Support data governance activities (tagging, metadata management and secure sharing)
• Develop RPA solutions to automate business processes
• Evaluate and recommend analytics products to ensure mission alignment
• Communicate findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports
