Market America Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to support product engineering leadership and marketing teams with insights drawn from large data sets.

You will mine and analyze data to drive optimization of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies. The role requires developing models and algorithms, applying predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences and revenue, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
• Masters degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field.
• Proficiency with R, Python, SQL and data mining/analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

Market America is seeking a Data Scientist supporting our product engineering leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data

In this role you will be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization You must have strong experience using a variety of data miningdata analysis methods using a variety of data tools building and implementing models usingcreating algorithms and creatingrunning simulations Have a proven ability to drive business results with your data based insights You should be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams The ideal candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes

What are the day to day responsibilities

Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutionsMine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development marketing techniques and business strategiesAssess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniquesDevelop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data setsUse predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences revenue generation ad targeting and other business outcomesCoordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomesDevelop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

What skills will you need to be successful in this role

Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product developmentExperience using statistical computer languages R Python SQL etc to manipulate data and draw insights from large data setsExperience working with and creating data architecturesKnowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques clustering decision tree learning artificial neural networks etc and their real world advantagesdrawbacksKnowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts regression properties of distributions statistical tests and proper usage etc and experience with applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teamsA drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
