Job description

Core One is seeking a Data Scientist to support our IC program. This position requires a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Support data collection operations by identifying existing sets of underexploited data and developing efficient techniques for their exploitation and analysis.
  • Assess current data workflows and formulate improved exploitation methodologies to more quickly identify actionable opportunities and support mission objectives.
  • Integrate analytical workflows into existing tools and platforms, ensuring seamless compatibility with established data infrastructure and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal components, partner organizations, and other contractor resources to identify new data feeds and expand collection opportunities.
  • Restructure and normalize large volumes of structured and unstructured data to enhance analytical efficiency and accelerate the identification of actionable intelligence.
  • Sustain and continuously evolve data processing and exploitation capabilities to meet evolving program objectives and mission requirements.
  • Document, assess, and improve data quality processes to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of analytical products and reporting.
  • Work with developers to identify required features and capabilities for new tools, providing subject matter expertise to inform tool development and enhancement efforts.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure in a timely and effective manner to minimize operational disruption.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting, documenting, and evolving processes to assess and improve data quality and integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently or collaboratively with other resources as dictated by mission needs and project scale.
  • Demonstrated experience using data exploitation and parsing tools such as Kibana or equivalent platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating data integrity and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience manipulating and exploiting both structured and unstructured datasets at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience crafting and delivering on project milestones in a fast-paced operational environment.
