Job summary

AEP is seeking a talented data analyst to conduct intermediate analysis across diverse data types, uncover hidden patterns, and support management decisions in a utilities context. You will mine data, audit, validate, and reconcile datasets while building reports and dashboards.

You will use SQL, Power BI, and analytics software (SAS, R, SPSS) to perform analyses, create visualizations, and deliver concise written reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, operations research, statistics, economics, data science, computer science or related technical field required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience required.
• Strong knowledge in SQL, Power BI, PeopleSoft, Cognos BI, and variance analysis with prior utility company experience.
• Experience with analytics packages such as SAS, R, SPSS is a plus.

**Job Summary**Responsible for conducting intermediate analysis on various data types to uncover hidden patterns and unknown correlations to support business and management decisions. This includes data mining, data auditing, aggregation, validation, and reconciliation. Build reports for management as well as conducts basic hypothesis tests (contextualize basic levels of complexity). Utilizes analytics and statistical software such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, and others to perform analysis and interpret data.
