Job summary

Baynovation is hiring a Data Scientist to join our team in San Jose, CA. You will build and deploy machine learning models using both analytical algorithms and deep learning approaches, delivering analytic insights that affect hundreds of thousands of customers.

The role requires 2 years in data science/ML, a quantitative degree, and strong Python/R plus SQL skills. You will work on data models, experimentation, and predictive modeling to advance analytic capabilities for the organization.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in data science, statistics, or machine learning.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, CS, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.
• Basic understanding of experimental design (A/B experiments) and statistical methods.
• Experience with forecasting, time series, hypothesis testing, classification, clustering or regression analysis.
• Proficient in Python or R; ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
• Data Scientist is a core position involved in executing data analysis and modeling tasks.
• Overarching mandate to execute analytic delivery and develop new analytics capabilities.
• Works on data model maintenance, development, optimization, data file preparation, reporting and ad-hoc analyses.
• Perform predictive modeling and convert analytic findings into customer insights.
