PNC’s Data, Modeling, and Analytics organization is hiring a Data Scientist in Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (onsite) to build analytics and machine learning solutions that support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical work on structured and unstructured data to uncover actionable business insights.
- Contribute to data gathering, data processing, and data mining across large, complex datasets.
- Develop algorithms using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques including machine learning to predict business outcomes.
- Recommend optimal actions to management based on model results.
- Run methodical analytical experiments to identify opportunities for product and process optimization.
- Support business insight communication to management using visualization technologies and data storytelling.
- Partner with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Visualization Experts to deliver data-driven solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience.
- Master’s degree.
- Demonstrated Analytical Thinking and Data Analytics skills.
- Hands-on Data Mining and Data Science experience.
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning (ML).
- Understanding of Data Architecture.
- Capabilities tied to: Disruptive Innovation, Information Capture, and Modeling: Data, Process, Events, Objects.
- Experience with Prototyping.
- Familiarity with Query and Database Access Tools.

Compensation
- Base Salary: USD 86,250 - 143,750 per year
- Incentive eligible; payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance

- Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA 15222
- PNC is described as an in-office company supporting employee balance and success
