GPC is seeking a Data Scientist to collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights. The role focuses on designing data modeling processes, building algorithms and predictive models, and communicating results effectively to drive data-based decisions.

The ideal candidate uses advanced quantitative methods to understand complex business problems and deliver scalable data solutions, with emphasis on experimentation, storytelling, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 7+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience applying machine learning and predictive analytics to business problems.

Under limited supervision, the Data Scientist works closely with business stakeholders to understand how data can be used to achieve their goals. Designs data modeling processes, creates algorithms and predictive models and helps analyze the data and shares insights. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. Must have a passion for machine-learning and research. This position will be tasked with helping the company analyze trends to make better data-based decisions.

Education & Experience

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Opersations Research, Quantitative Social Science or a related area and at least seven (7) years of related experience or equivalent combination.

• Basic knowledge of software development principles and architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution and implement it using advanced quantitative methods.
• Must be a team player with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
