Job summary

EverWatch in Maryland is seeking a Data Scientist to translate complex data into actionable insights for national security challenges. You'll work on IoT, ML, and AI projects, analyzing structured and unstructured data and collaborating with clients to understand questions and needs.

On the team you will lead analytics efforts, develop and validate models, and guide teammates in building scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis (R/Python/SAS/MATLAB).
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience developing and validating ML or statistical models.
• Experience developing feature vectors and tuning analytical algorithms.
• Experience translating customer requirements into analytical solutions.
• Experience leading data science teams and analytical development efforts.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline and 10+ years in ML/data analytics or HS Diploma with 14+ years in related fields.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science) and 10+ years of experience in machine learning, data mining, advanced statistical analysis, artificial intelligence, or data analysis software development, HS Diploma or GED and 14+ years of experience in machine learning, data mining, advanced statistical analysis, artificial intelligence, or data analysis software development

Nice If You Have:

• Experience developing statistical tests, experiments, or simulated datasets
• Experience evaluating models using cross-validation, ROC curves, or confusion matrices
• Experience transitioning analytical prototypes into production systems
• Experience developing scalable analytics for large datasets
• Experience integrating analytics into production workflows with software or cloud engineers
• Experience creating data visualizations and analytical reports
• Experience applying emerging machine learning or pattern recognition algorithms

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required .

Compensation

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96.16 to $115.39 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch’s total compensation package for employees.
