Job summary

ImagineSoftware is seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. You will leverage data to deliver actionable insights and support machine learning initiatives for healthcare products in a fast-paced environment.

You will build scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Spark, design NLP workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into reliable, decision-ready assets.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of various machine learning libraries like Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and Apache Spark.
• Ability to communicate highly technical results and methods to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience building data models and using the results to report on various metrics and strategies
• BS in computer science, math, or data science
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a data scientist

Responsibilities

• Analyze datasets using statistical & data mining techniques including Python scripting.
• Develop hypotheses from data & domain understanding, and statistically test those hypotheses to provide actionable insights.
• Build data models and infrastructure to version data used for model training.
• Design NLP pipelines using deep neural networks and other machine learning techniques using Python.
• Develop training & tuning methodologies to train ML models efficiently.
• Design and implement evaluation strategies for various models on baseline datasets to measure progress.
• Build scalable data science pipelines using big data tools & techniques to preprocess large amounts of data before training a model.
• Enable integrations of various tools and technologies to streamline data science pipelines like AWS, Python, PostgreSQL and Apache Spark.
• Prepare documentation and visualization for team communication and project progress.
• Enable and develop best practices and reporting templates.
• Design and develop codebase with appropriate testing and coding hygiene.

• Enable integrations of various tools and technologies to streamline data science pipelines like amazon web services, python scripting language, PostgreSQL database and Apache Spark.
• Prepare documentation and visualization for team communication and correspondence on project progress.
• Enable and develop computer science/data science best practices and reporting templates.
• Design and develop codebase with appropriate testing and coding hygiene.
• Utilize the various capabilities of hardware and software resources to enable efficient processing of data and training of deep neural networks.
• Understand the architectural design of various machine learning libraries like Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc. to find the best solution as well as the hardware resources available.
• Implement deep neural architectures and machine learning algorithms on mathematical level. Tweak these algorithms and architectures accordingly
• Utilize education in machine learning and statistics to find appropriate solutions
• Research and implement emerging technologies to determine best solutions
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience Needed

• BS in computer science, math, or data science
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a data scientist
