Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Scientist to unlock insights from large datasets, including IoT, machine learning, and AI, across private and public sectors from fraud detection to national intelligence.

You will work with clients to understand questions, explore data-rich environments, develop algorithms, and turn disparate data points into objective answers that guide decisions. A TS/SCI clearance is required; a polygraph may be requested.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or mining.
• 2+ years of experience with Python coding for AI/ML solutions.
• 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
• Experience with software configuration management using Git.
• Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Experience with developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Bachelor’s degree

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining

• 2+ years of experience with Python coding, including for Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) solutions

• 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis

• Experience with software configuration management using Git

• Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources

• Experience with developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources

Nice If You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with remote sensing image processing and data exploitation

• 2+ years of experience working with database structures such as SQL or ElasticSearch

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems, including ArcGIS, QGIS, or Palantir

• Knowledge of Military Services and Combatant Commands

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with peers and clients

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
