Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Data Science Technical Team Lead for its Commercial DPHM analytics group in East Hartford, CT. This role guides the development of advanced diagnostics, prognostics, and engine health monitoring analytics supporting fleet operations, and drives technical direction for the team.

You will mentor data scientists, shape analytic methods, and ensure robust, scalable analytics from concept to deployment, aligning with engine physics and customer needs across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM fields required.
• 10 years of engineering experience or 7 years with advanced degree.
• Strong modeling and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of advanced DPHM analytics using statistics, physics-informed approaches, machine learning, and AI applied to operational fleet data.
• Serve as primary technical expert for the team’s most challenging analytical problems, shaping solutions from concept through validation and deployment.
• Define and advance analytic methods, modeling standards, validation practices, and technical best practices across the Commercial DPHM data science team.
• Provide technical mentoring, coaching, and review for other data scientists to strengthen overall team capability.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure analytics align with engine physics, system behavior, and customer needs.
• Ensure deployed analytics meet expectations for accuracy, robustness, and reliability, and support continuous performance monitoring and improvement.
• Contribute to long‑term analytic strategy, capability development, and roadmap planning for Commercial DPHM.
