Accenture Flex is seeking a Data Scientist in Minneapolis to apply statistical and machine learning methods to large enterprise data, driving real-world value and novel insights for client projects.

You will work across inventories, supply chain, marketing and cybersecurity, collaborating with diverse teams to deploy scalable data solutions using Python, R, Scala and cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data science or related field.
• Experience in statistics, operations research, DOE, ML or quantitative analysis.
• Experience with distributed processing for big data.
• Proficiency in at least one analytics language (Python, R or Scala).

As a Data Scientist, you’ll apply innovative statistical and machine learning methods in a scientifically rigorous manner to dive into the largest and most complex data across the enterprise to answer the most difficult questions that are foundational to driving real-world value by offering deep insight into every aspect of the business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the most important strategic efforts to provide analytic thought leadership that drives a data-grounded perspective to help client think critically and differently about all aspects of our business to improve our core capabilities and unleash the next generation of customer experiences that will transform the way client operates day-to-day.

• Applying scientific methods to solve real world business problems using data
• Utilizing cutting edge statistical and machine learning methods to dig deep into complex data to deliver data driven solutions across all areas of the business including inventory optimization supply chain marketing healthcare cybersecurity, etc.
• Employing broad and deep knowledge of statistics analytics and machine learning to contribute to and enhance Best Buys core data science capabilities
• Mining large structured and unstructured data appropriately to glean actionable insights and to make recommendations on how the data can be used to help solve straightforward business problems
• Collaborating with other teams to implement and deploy scalable solutions

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data science, data analysis, data mining, or other similar business functions
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in at least one focus area of data science: statistics, operations research, design and analysis of experiments, machine learning, or quantitative analysis
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data mining skills with ability to leverage distributed processing to scale to big data
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least one data science analytics programming language like Python, R, or Scala
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in a highly quantitative field: Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Economics, Operations Research, etc.
• Experience using high performance machine learning data mining frameworks on cloud platforms GCP Azure AWS
• Experience building distributed data processing pipelines (Apache Spark or Apache Beam)
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a wide spectrum of cross functional team members

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
