The Hershey Company seeks a Data Science Manager to lead a team of data scientists focused on solving complex business challenges through machine learning, optimization, forecasting, experimentation, and advanced analytics. You will partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to identify opportunities where data science can create meaningful business value and help shape the future of snacking.

This role combines scientific leadership with people leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applying data science, ML, optimization, statistics, or related quantitative disciplines to solve business problems.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams in cross-functional environments.
• Strong understanding of ML, optimization, experimentation, statistics, and analytics.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing data science team.
• Set scientific direction and priorities aligned with business goals.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver data science solutions.
• Drive execution of ML, optimization, forecasting, and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Review approaches and promote model quality and scientific rigor.
• Communicate insights and business impact to senior leadership.
