Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years delivering production data solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and end-to-end development lifecycle.
• Strong data modeling understanding (dimensional, normalized, event-based).
• Hands-on Databricks, Spark/PySpark; SQL and dbt proficiency.
• Experience with Airflow orchestration, backfills and monitoring.
• Proven ability to lead delivery in complex stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines with SLAs and monitoring.
• Curate trusted data products with clear ownership and documentation.
• Build metrics and datasets to measure AI adoption and productivity.
• Drive data quality, governance, lineage, and access controls.
• Develop workflow orchestration with Airflow for data movement and transforms.
• Model and transform data for analytics using SQL/dbt.
• Write production-grade Python/PySpark with tests and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering stakeholders on requirements.
• Establish engineering best practices and improve observability and cost/performance.
• Mentor a team of 2 and influence technical direction through reviews.
