Lilly invites applications for a Business Insights & Analytics – Data Science Intern to join a growing team of data scientists. You will help marketing, finance, and leadership partners improve patient outcomes through advanced analytics.

Candidates are pursuing a quantitative PhD and must be authorized to work in the United States full time. Preference for experience with Python or R, SQL, and AI tools, plus strong communication skills and business judgment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Finance, Mathematics or other related quantitative field.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Lilly will not provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with commercial teams to identify, scope, and execute analytic efforts that answer business questions and add value.
• Estimate marketing channel effectiveness and improve customer engagement.
• Suggest innovations to current approaches and potential future projects.
• Communicate insights to empower stakeholders and inform decision making.
• Engage with analytics peers to review work and seek feedback to improve results.
• Stay current with data science methodologies and justify chosen methods.
