• Proficiency with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate ML models for additive manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with Simulation, Robotics, and Software teams to deploy ML models to production.
• Extract insights from sensors, cameras, and simulations to optimize material interactions and process performance.
• Communicate findings and proposed solutions to stakeholders with clarity.

About the Role

We areseekinga highly skilled and motivated Data Science Intern to join our dynamic R&D team. You willbe responsible fordeveloping and implementing ML models and algorithms that drive advancements in Relativity's Stargate additive manufacturing platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Simulation, Robotics, and Software toidentifyand implement ML-based solutions that drive technology development. You will work to understand data from a wide variety of sources in and around the printer and selectappropriate modelarchitectures to achieve business goals.You'llbe at thecutting edgeoflarge scaleadditivemanufacturingandyou'llget to see the solutions you develop implemented in the Stargate platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models related to large scale additive manufacturing systems.

• Use a strong theoretical understanding of ML to guide model selection and optimization based on the data on hand and model performance requirements

• Collaborate with other team members to deploy ML models into production environments.

• Extract insights from a wide range of data sources such as sensors, cameras, and physical simulations to understand andoptimizethe interactions between materials, printing processes, and product performance.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders

About You

• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong programming skills in Python using machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow,PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

• Strong theoretical understanding of machine learning and statistics

• Proficiencyin statistical analysis, optimization, and data visualization tools.

Nice to Haves but Not Required

• Proficiencywith collaborative software development concepts such as git, code review, and CICD

• Background in the field of Additive Manufacturing

• Proficiencywith databases and SQL
