Job summary

NYU Center for Data Science (CDS) invites applications for its Faculty Fellow positions. These are full-time, non-tenure appointments with a teaching load of one CDS course per year and two-year appointments beginning Sept 1, 2027.

Candidates will conduct research at the boundary of computational methods and domain sciences, collaborate with CDS and NYU colleagues, publish broadly, and may access housing and funds for research and travel.

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a doctorate by the start date.
• Strong publication record.
• Demonstrated experience teaching quantitative topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead original research projects at the boundary of computational methods and domain sciences.
• Teach courses for CDS students.
• Participate in service activities of the CDS (e.g., admissions, committees).
• Appointments will be for two years with a teaching load of one CDS course per year.
• Collaborate with CDS and NYU faculty across disciplines.
