- Collaborate with biostatisticians, epidemiologists, researchers, and other project team members to understand research objectives and deliver accurate, meaningful analyses.
- Support ongoing projects funded by pharmaceutical partners and government research organizations.
- Document analytical processes, communicate findings, and contribute to the development and maintenance of research programs.
- Manage assigned projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
- Participate in onboarding and training, incorporate feedback, and continue developing technical and research expertise.
- Communicate proactively with team members, ask questions when challenges arise, and work independently in a remote environment.
Required Qualifications:

- Proficiency in R or Python.
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to work with research or healthcare datasets.

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and seek guidance when needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in biostatistics, public health, epidemiology, data science, or a related field.
- Experience with SAS, particularly in a research or healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Posit Workbench, or similar analytical platforms.
- Experience supporting clinical research, epidemiological studies, vaccine research, or infectious disease research.
- Experience working with healthcare claims data or other clinical and healthcare datasets.
- Experience contributing to research manuscripts, publications, or scientific projects.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical-sponsored research or projects funded by government agencies.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Fully remote position.
- Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States for contract work, but must work PST hours.
- Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for potential conversion to an employee of the organization.
- The role requires self-direction, strong communication, and the ability to work productively with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Initial onboarding and training will be provided, with an expectation that team members will progressively work independently.
This position may begin as a contract opportunity, with the potential for conversion to a longer-term employee position based on performance, business needs, and available funding. Conversion is not guaranteed.
The team supports an ongoing pipeline of clinical research projects funded by pharmaceutical companies and government organizations, creating opportunities to contribute to meaningful research over time.
