Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report management data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, planning, and performance issues.
  • Perform general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets across business areas.
  • Interpret data to provide insights on trends, opportunities, and operational impact; create forecasts, dashboards, and ad hoc reports.
  • Examine data patterns to answer business questions and improve decision-making.
  • Define data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automate data analysis processes.
  • Monitor long-term business trends and contribute to planning with leadership.
  • Produce actionable reports showing KPIs and root causes; support current operations improvements.

Description

The Data Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis and business intelligence solutions that enable business unit leaders to make informed decisions and drive operational growth. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, and executive leadership to analyze complex datasets, develop dashboards and reports, identify trends, forecast business performance, and recommend process improvements that support strategic initiatives.

Work Schedule

This position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our Brentwood, TN corporate office and remote work Monday and Friday.

Essential Job Duties
  • Collect, analyze, and report management data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, planning, and specific business performance issues.
  • Responsible for performing general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of the business.
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insight to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. Create and produce forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc.
  • Examine and identify data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision-making.
  • Activity includes defining data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
  • Identify and define both process and data improvements.
  • May monitor medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to business planning discussions with leadership.
  • Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement in current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
  • Comply with established company policies and procedures.
  • Assume other duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Financial Analysis, or a related analytical role.
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data analysis. s.
  • Strong experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience leveraging multiple internal and external data sources to support business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Experience performing data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
  • Experience automating reporting processes and improving reporting efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to executive leadership and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data analysis. eferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, or forecasting.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerApps and/or Power Automate.
  • Python or R programming experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations or field-based organizations.
  • Experience with ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and financial metrics while interpreting graphs and trends.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently while collaborating across departments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
